We went for a spa so I cannot comment on the rooms. The service is absolutely amazing. Loved every minute of it. Came out relaxed.
And the food, wow ! Highly recommend. A bit over my usual budget (but not overpriced). The quality and execution and presentation of the food is so good, I will definitely return. It's a real treat.
Only stayed one night here as it was near the ferry we caught from Ireland to Fishguard. It's a really lovely boutique hotel very nicely decorated in muted tones throughout. Only 15 rooms but they are really lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty and well presented. Staff are friendly and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. If you are less mobile ask for a ground floor room. We were on the top floor with four short flights of stairs up. No lift as the property is older.
Whilst I sadly didn't stay overnight, I had my recent birthday meal here with my partner in the fine dining restaurant. Let's simply say that it was beyond all expectations. The food was out of this world and our waitress was knowledgeable about all aspects of each and every course...all seven of them!
Additionally, the service and welcome from all other staff was top notch and, as such, in my eyes the establishment really does represent excellent value for money in every respect. Despite living locally, I'd happily stay here for a short break, it's really that good.
Thank you all. I look forward to returning soon.
My husband and I had our wedding here a few weeks ago, since booking it as our venue back in April 2022 we've had several visits for planning and I've made several visits for lunch dates and spa dates which have all be 10/10.
The venue is absolutely beautiful, the food and the service has always been amazing.
Our wedding guests were so complimentary of everything and being able to have our ceremony and reception in one place was such a time saver.
The staff are a true credit to the business and it speaks volumes that they seem to retain their staff well.
We plan to continue to visit wolfscastle for food and spa adventures for years to come.
Absolutely amazing! Food was delicious and was plenty of food with the afternoon tea, definitely worth the money. I messed up on the booking, the staff was absolutely amazing and was able to resolve my issue very quick and professionally, I would give them more than 5* if I could, I will definitely be recommending and returning ☁️
Gorgeous spa treatment - we both had hot stone massages which were lovely. The therapists were so friendly and attentive. The spa is small but perfectly formed. Would definitely come back again.
It was nice, nothing special, not worth £170 for one night, co.pared to other hotels we stayed in. Website promises an experience that we didn't quite get. Certainly not a hotel for romantic time away nor luxury as boasted on website.
Staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful.
The room was comfortable, light and airy but tired, and decorative cushions had many stains, as did the sofa. There was a lot of noise from other guests, nothing the hotel could do about that, other than offer Earplugs in the rooms.
It is an issue for other guests I'm sure as they clearly do a lot of weddings.
Our room was nothing like the feel of those on their website.
Bedding very clean and bed really comfy.
Bathroom clean and good size. Our shower flooded but was fixed quickly without fuss, and a free drink each was welcomed.
Breakfast was average, fruit choice odd: kiwi, grapes, and watermelon in tiny chunks. Bread for toasting was cheap sliced bread.
Afternoon tea was delicious, delicate, and nicely done with mismatched china.
Di nner in the brasserie was disappointing. We wanted pre dinner drinks, but because of the flood (from our shower - not our fault either), there was nowhere to relX before dinner.
The food was nice it was steak and wine night, good value, nothing special.
We had to ask for them to speak to a guest who was on a loud speaker call for over 10 minutes. It was super loud, especially as the ambient music had been turned off too, I guess it was getting to closing time? 8.40pm.
Shame because there was no atmosphere for dinner.
The staff were great, though.
Stayed long weekend with my three girls Susannah my wife and Dinkies and Fidget golden retriever and labrador !!1 Excellent place just excellent, chirpy helpful staff , lovely grub , great service, very large bed in room - comfy place so thanks a lot everyone. We will be coming again.
